Coale Promises to Convey Lukashenka’s Views to Trump

US President’s Special Envoy for Belarus John Coale said that during his meeting with Alyaksandr Lukashenka in Minsk, he discussed the situation in Iran and Venezuela and promised to convey Lukashenka’s views to Washington, BelTA reported.

“We discussed many issues related to relations between Belarus and the United States. We also discussed what is thought about the war in Iran in Belarus, what is thought about it in the United States, and how this situation is developing,” Coale said.

The envoy noted that Lukashenka’s opinion is “very valuable” and promised to pass it on to US President Donald Trump.

“It is always very valuable to receive the opinion of the President of Belarus, because it is completely different from what we can obtain in the West. This is very valuable for us. I will certainly convey everything we discussed here today to Washington,” he said.

“We also discussed the situation in Venezuela — what is happening there and in other regions of the world, and how it affects global developments. Because in the Western Hemisphere, the situation is now very dynamic and rapidly evolving, with many changes,” the envoy added.

The possibility of Lukashenka visiting the United States was also discussed during the talks.

At the meeting, Lukashenka said he would like to discuss the situation in the Middle East, stressed that the United States is fighting against Belarus’s allies, stated readiness to adhere to agreements on political prisoners, and hinted at the possibility of direct air links with the United States.
