The “Budzma Belarusami!” initiative has been declared an “extremist formation.” The decision of the Interior Ministry, No. 2EK, is dated January 29. The new entry was added to the relevant list today.
“A group of citizens belonging to the extremist formation ‘Budzma Belarusami!’ is engaged in extremist activity,” the document says.
It states that Alena Makouskaya and Nina Shydlouskaya are associated with the initiative. The list includes the website budzma.org, as well as the initiative’s resources on various social networks and messaging platforms, email addresses, a PayPal account, and “a logo in the form of a graphic image depicting three human silhouettes in white on a red background.”
“Budzma Belarusami!” became the 331st formation on the Interior Ministry’s list.
It should be recalled that in Belarus, accusations of extremism in recent years have been used to combat opponents of the authorities and dissent in general.
