Warsaw will host the “Day of Dignity” on Aug. 9, marking the sixth anniversary of Belarus’ 2020 presidential election and the beginning of the peaceful protests.
As the United Transitional Cabinet notes, the event will serve as a day of remembrance, solidarity and support for everyone who continues to stand for a free, independent and democratic Belarus.
Representatives of the Belarusian democratic forces, former political prisoners and public figures will take the stage. Those addressing the gathering will include Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, Pavel Latushka, Pavel Sieviaryniec, Palina Sharenda-Panasiuk and other participants.
The cultural programme will feature performances by Volny Choir, Kriwi and Aliaksei Shkurapatski. The evening will conclude with the “Flame of Freedom” fire show by Javaryna Fire Show.
The event will take place on Aug. 9 near the Nicolaus Copernicus monument in Warsaw. It is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m.
The event is organised by the Belarusian Association of Former Political Prisoners “Da Voli”, the Office of Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, the Representation for National Revival of the United Transitional Cabinet, the Belarusians of Warsaw community, the National Anti-Crisis Management and other organisations.
The organisers are also inviting supporters to contribute to the 2026 Day of Dignity through a fundraising campaign on BYSOL.
