Belstat Publishes Migration Data for 2025

In 2025, nearly 46,900 people arrived in Belarus, while 37,800 people left the country. These figures are contained in the statistical publication “Belarus in Figures”, released today by Belstat.

According to official statistics, 26,660 people arrived in Belarus from CIS countries, while 20,240 came from countries outside the Commonwealth.

A total of 13,820 people left Belarus for CIS countries, while 24,000 emigrated to countries outside the Commonwealth.

Overall, net migration amounted to 9,073 people. The balance with CIS countries was positive, with 12,840 more arrivals than departures. With countries outside the CIS, the balance was negative, with 3,770 more departures than arrivals.

Compared with 2024, the number of arrivals to Belarus increased by 11%, while departures rose by 15.5%. Emigration to countries outside the CIS increased by 20.6%.

The average age of the population at the beginning of the year was 42.2 years, including 39.4 years for men and 44.6 years for women. These figures increased by 0.3 years compared with the start of 2025.
