Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhankou met with Italy’s Chargé d’Affaires ad interim in Belarus Tommaso Pietro Marchegiani on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission in the country.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospects of Belarusian-Italian relations and exchanged views on the situation in the region and current international issues.
“The minister thanked the ambassador for his active work in Belarus, the implementation of a number of projects, including humanitarian ones, and expressed the expectation of a more active position from European countries, particularly Italy, on issues of engagement with Belarus,” the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry reported.
