Belavia Evacuation Flight Departs Qatar

Belavia has organized an evacuation flight from Qatar. The aircraft carrying Belarusian tourists has already departed from Doha to Minsk, the Transport Ministry reported.

Permission to operate the flight was obtained as a result of negotiations between the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, the Belarusian embassy and Belavia with the competent authorities of Qatar.

Belavia became the first foreign airline to receive permission from Qatar to evacuate tourists, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry noted.

To receive the Belarusian aircraft, Hamad International Airport was temporarily opened and all necessary services were engaged, including the provision of additional security measures.
