Polish customs officers seized a shipment of smuggled cigarettes at the Belarusian border.
The cigarettes were found on a freight train traveling from Belarus to Poland through the Siemianówka border crossing. The railcars were scanned, and cigarettes were detected inside a tanker carrying resin.
Nearly 4,000 packs of cigarettes were seized in total. Their value is estimated at more than 77,000 zlotys ($20,700). A criminal case has been opened, the Polish customs service reports.
