Belarusbank continues to expand restrictions on payments made using its cards. The measures are explained as necessary to improve security.
From June 15, 2026, limits will apply to transfers to Belarusian companies associated with gambling, as well as to transfers and purchases made abroad.
Previously, the bank had already introduced a daily limit of 600 rubles for Velvet Club cards and 3,000 rubles for other debit cards on transactions carried out without the physical use of the card but using its details, as well as transactions at the bank’s self-service kiosks and ATMs.
“From June 15, 2026, the list of transactions subject to the previously established restrictions will be expanded. Daily limits will apply to transactions and transfers in favor of organizations in Belarus related to the gambling sector (MCC 7995 — betting pools, lottery tickets, casino chips, race betting, horse racing, and other wagers),” the bank said in a statement.
The bank will also limit the monthly amount of transfers to cards issued by foreign banks and payments made outside the country. The amount may not exceed 89,000 rubles. For corporate cards, the limit on payments outside the country, including online transactions, will amount to 899,000 rubles per month.
The removal of the limit will only be possible for corporate cards.
