Aliaksandr Lukashenka has signed a decree “On Road Passenger Transport in Irregular Service”, aimed at improving legal regulation in this area, his press service reported.
The document expands the list of information to be included in the register of road passenger transport in irregular service. In the absence of such data, transport activity will be considered illegal.
The decree introduces new grounds for suspending the operations of carriers: failure to submit a tax declaration, the existence of tax debt, as well as the provision of inaccurate information to tax authorities. The measures are said to be aimed at curbing the activities of shell companies.
In addition, a ban is introduced on the use of vehicles belonging to a carrier excluded from the register for violations by other market participants. Re-entry into the register will be possible no earlier than three months later.
The list of transport services not subject to Decree No. 32 of January 25, 2024, is also expanded.
