Aliaksandr Lukashenka made a series of personnel appointments on Thursday, naming two ministers, two ambassadors and several local government officials.
Vadzim Alsheuski has been appointed minister of architecture and construction. He previously served as deputy chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, overseeing construction, transport and housing and utilities. The previous minister, Aliaksandr Studniou, served in the post for just over a year after being appointed in March 2025.
Siarhei Uldzinovich has been appointed minister of forestry. He previously headed the Minsk State Production Forestry Association.
Deputy Emergency Situations Minister Aliaksandr Khudaleyeu has been appointed ambassador to Tajikistan.
Belarus’ ambassador to Zimbabwe, Yury Mikalaychyk, will also represent Belarus in Mozambique.
Siarhei Miadzvetskas has been approved as first deputy chairman of the Hrodna Regional Executive Committee. He previously served as chairman of the Astravets District Executive Committee.
Aliaksandr Maksimchuk, director general of the Brest Regional Unitary Enterprise “Housing and Utilities Management”, has been appointed deputy chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, where he will oversee construction, transport and housing and utilities.
Ruslan Zhukouski, previously first deputy chairman of the Smarhon District Executive Committee, has been appointed chairman of the Astravets District Executive Committee.
Vitali Shuleika has been approved as chairman of the Slonim District Executive Committee. He previously served as first deputy chairman of the Dzyatlava District Executive Committee.
Ihar Averka will move from the position of first deputy chairman to become chairman of the Shchuchyn District Executive Committee.
Uladzislau Hershhoryn has been appointed head of the Administration of the Leninski District of Hrodna, transferring from his previous position as chairman of the Ashmyany District Executive Committee.
