Belarus is preparing a new decree regulating the operation of the Hi-Tech Park. Hanna Ryabava, head of the HTP Supervisory Board secretariat, said the draft document is currently being tested among government agencies.
“You know that we can never say that optimal conditions have been created once and for all. I have probably said more than once that our practices are being copied very actively in order to overtake our achievements and capture our market and audience, with even more favorable conditions being created. So we constantly have to adapt some of our institutional requirements as well.
In particular, we are now moving toward the adoption of what is known as the “HTP 3.0″ decree. It is currently being tested among government agencies, so soon we will present the public with new developments in our institution as well,” she said following a meeting of the Hi-Tech Park Supervisory Board chaired by Belarusian Prime Minister Aliaksandr Turchyn today.
The Supervisory Board meeting also considered the registration of new HTP residents and the approval of business projects. The inclusion of a new type of activity involving additive technologies and issues related to the cryptocurrency sector were also discussed.
Ryabova said applications from more than 30 companies were considered at the meeting. According to her, only a small portion of them operate on a contract-based model, while the rest use a product-based or mixed model.
