Aleh Haidukevich has been re-elected chairman of the Liberal Democratic Party of Belarus (LDPB). His candidacy was supported by delegates to the LDPB’s 23rd congress, which was attended by 700 representatives of regional, city and district party organisations, BelTA reported.

The chairman’s term of office will last five years. Delegates also re-elected the party’s Supreme Council, Central Committee and Central Auditing Commission.

Haidukevich has held the position since September 2019. Before him, the party was led by his father, Siarhei Haidukevich.
