Belarusian and Russian officials held a series of online meetings from March 24 to March 31 devoted to work on a draft of the main areas for implementing the provisions of the Union State Treaty in 2027-29.
According to the Economy Ministry press service, the Belarusian side was led by Deputy Economy Minister Alesia Abramenka. Union State State Secretary Sergei Glazyev and representatives of Belarusian and Russian state bodies also took part in the meetings.
“During the meetings, experts discussed in detail the future of Union cooperation. The agenda included priority areas and joint plans for cooperation in macroeconomic, investment and tax policy, as well as cooperation in trade, SMEs, industry, agriculture, energy, transport, digitalisation, tourism, environmental issues, legal integration and other areas”, the press service said.
The draft is to be submitted to Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Vladimir Putin for consideration by the end of this year.
