The Minsk City Council last week approved civic initiatives that will be implemented in Minsk in 2026.
A total of 39 initiatives are planned to be implemented in the capital. Almost all of them concern the installation of equipment at children’s playgrounds or exercise machines.
The list of initiatives was published by Minsk-News. It includes 25 initiatives related to the installation of children’s play complexes and the repair of playgrounds. Another 13 concern the installation of sports equipment. In some cases, both children’s and sports equipment will be installed at the same time. Finally, one more civic initiative involves the creation of the “Honorary Residents of the Frunzensky District of Minsk” alley in the Divivelka Park on Lobanka Street.
It should be recalled that civic initiatives are selected by commissions under local councils of deputies. A condition for the implementation of such projects is the contribution of part of the funding by citizens.
