A weather balloon carrying cigarettes landed overnight Thursday in the yard of a resident in the town of Žiežmariai in Lithuania’s Kaunas District, LRT reports.
The man reported the incident to the police. Officers arriving at the scene found 1,500 packs of cigarettes in boxes along with a GPS tracker.
The balloon itself became stuck in a tree at a height of about four meters. Firefighters were required to remove it.
