The eldest son of Aliaksandr Lukashenka, Viktar Lukashenka, arrived in Oman today. He was on board the government business jet that departed Minsk for Muscat last evening.
Oman’s state news agency ONA reported that Viktar Lukashenka arrived as a special envoy of Lukashenka Sr.
On April 22, on behalf of the Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Viktar Lukashenka was received by the Sultan’s son, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said. Viktar delivered a written message from Aliaksandr Lukashenka to the Sultan.
“During the meeting, areas of cooperation and partnership between the two friendly countries in various economic and investment fields were reviewed, as well as ways to strengthen them for the benefit of the peoples of both states,” ONA reported.
Viktar Lukashenka was accompanied by his aide Siarhei Zialenkievich.
Earlier in April, Belarusian Foreign Minister Maksim Ryzhankou visited Oman.
