Police in Poland have uncovered a group that organised DDoS attacks. The group consisted of nine teenagers aged between 12 and 16.
During the investigation, officers seized 13 computers, nine mobile phones and data storage devices.
The teenagers offered paid services for carrying out DDoS attacks.
A DDoS attack is the deliberate overloading of a web server or network with a flood of fake requests sent from multiple devices, known as a botnet. The aim of such an attack is to exhaust the system’s resources so that legitimate users are unable to access it.
Police did not specify which organisations or websites had been targeted by the underage suspects.
