UTC Warns of Fake Messages Allegedly From “Shlyakh da Voli” Forum Organisers

The United Transitional Cabinet (UTC) has warned about a fake message campaign allegedly sent on behalf of the organisers of the regional security forum “Shlyakh da Voli”.

According to the Cabinet, the messages contain an image resembling the original, but with different placement of graphic elements, and the text includes grammatical errors. The messages are sent via private chats in messengers and social media from fake accounts. The messages ask whether the recipient plans to participate in the forum.

The Cabinet emphasised that the organisers of the forum, which will take place in Kyiv, do not conduct personal outreach, and all communication is исключительно public.

“We draw attention to the fact that the organising committee communicates exclusively through PUBLIC messages on behalf of the United Transitional Cabinet of Belarus and the analytical centre ‘Ukrainian Prism’, published only on their official channels. We urge people not to respond to private messages from unknown accounts, not to reply to them, and not to participate in any surveys. Unknown malicious actors are pursuing the goal of collecting personal data of potential forum participants,” said Volha Zazulinskaya, the Cabinet’s representative for social policy, who is also a member of the forum’s organising committee.

She urged people to follow official updates from the Cabinet. Zazulinskaya also assured that the personal data of those who have registered to participate in the forum is securely protected.
