Tsikhanouskaya On Strike On Kyiv: This Is Russia’s Idea Of “Peace”

Head of the United Transitional Cabinet Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya has condemned the strike on Kyiv carried out by Russia on the eve of a meeting between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Donald Trump.

“Kyiv is under a massive Russian attack. Drones and missiles are hitting residential buildings and energy infrastructure. Families are left without heating and electricity. This is Russia’s idea of ‘peace’ — terror against civilians. There is only one response: decisive support for Ukraine’s defence,” the leader of the democratic forces wrote on X.

Earlier, on the night of December 26, Russia attacked Ukraine with more than 40 missiles and 519 attack drones. Ukrainian air defence forces managed to shoot down 503 enemy targets. The main targets were Kyiv and Kyiv Region. In the Ukrainian capital, seven districts were affected, one person was killed, and dozens suffered injuries, including two children.
