Trains Between Vitsyebsk and Smolensk to Stop in Liozna

Starting October 25, cross-border commuter trains between Vitsyebsk and Smolensk will make an additional stop at Liozna station in the Vitsyebsk Region.

According to a statement by Belarusian Railway, the new stop is being introduced to improve passenger services and increase public mobility. It will be available on trains running on the Vitsyebsk–Smolensk and Smolensk–Vitsyebsk routes.

Tickets for these trains can be purchased at railway ticket offices equipped with the Express system.

Passengers travelling into the border zone must carry an identity document or another document with a photograph issued by an authorized government agency. Children under 14 must have a birth certificate.

Commuter trains on the Smolensk–Orsha and Smolensk–Vitsyebsk routes began operating on April 2, 2026. Belarusian Railway reported that more than 64,000 passengers have been transported on cross-border services since then.
