Russia’s Investigative Committee has said it has identified those allegedly responsible for a drone attack on a Belarusian bus in Russia’s Bryansk region.
It should be noted that the statement by Russia’s Investigative Committee does not describe the specific role of the accused individuals and provides no evidence of their alleged involvement in the incident.
According to the statement, those allegedly involved include Robert Brovdi, commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, and Oleh Ivashchenko, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Defence Ministry.
“The investigation has established the involvement in this crime of the commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert Brovdi, and the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine’s Defence Ministry, Oleh Ivashchenko, who provided targeting and issued the unlawful order to attack civilian vehicles on Russian territory”, the Russian authorities said in the statement.
The Investigative Committee also accused three Ukrainian servicemen of directly carrying out the attack: Dmytro Tkachenko (the Khymera unmanned systems unit of the State Border Guard Service’s 105th Border Detachment), Ihor Zhukov (the Shkval rapid response border commandant’s office of the State Border Guard Service’s 7th Border Detachment), and Vladyslav Naum (the 73rd Naval Special Operations Centre). The three servicemen have been formally charged under Part 3 of Article 205 of the Russian Criminal Code.
