“Reporters Without Borders” Welcomes Release of Belarusian Journalists

The organization Reporters Without Borders welcomed the release of Belarusian journalists and media workers who were among 25 political prisoners released today. However, the organization described their expulsion to Lithuania as cruel.

“RSF welcomes the release of Dzmitry Navazhylau, Andrei Aliaksandrau, Iryna Zlobina and Kiryl Pazniak. But forcing them into exile in Lithuania is cruel. All journalists who remain in detention must be released immediately and unconditionally”, the organization said in a brief statement.
