Public Transport Fares to Increase in Minsk

The Minsk City Executive Committee, by Resolution No. 1016 of March 19, has set new tariffs for urban and suburban public transport. The document was published today on the National Legal Internet Portal and will enter into force five days after publication.

The cost of travel on ground public transport and for baggage will increase by 0.15 rubles to 1.10 rubles per trip. Tickets purchased on board will cost an additional 0.05 rubles. Metro fares will rise by the same amount to 1.15 rubles per trip.

Maximum suburban transport tariffs will be:

  • 0.14 rubles per kilometre for regular services,
  • 0.16 rubles per kilometre for fast services,
  • 0.17 rubles per kilometre for express services.

These rates have increased by 0.03 rubles per kilometre. Baggage transport tariffs range from 0.02 to 0.06 rubles per kilometre per item, depending on size.

The Minsk City Executive Committee has also set maximum fares for category M2 minibuses:

  • 3.3 rubles (including VAT) per trip,
  • 5 rubles (including VAT) per trip for services to satellite towns.

Previously, fares for these minibuses were regulated through profitability limits.

The cost of travel passes ranges from 5.56 rubles for a one-day pass covering all modes of transport to 65.84 rubles for a monthly pass, depending on the number of transport modes and validity period.
