Prosecutors Found “Extremist” T-Shirts on a Marketplace

The Prosecutor’s Office of the Savyetski District of Minsk reported on its efforts to combat “extremism” on one of the online marketplaces.

During an internet monitoring review, prosecutors discovered that the marketplace was offering T-shirts “featuring images of extremist symbols.”

“In order to eliminate the identified violations of the law, the deputy prosecutor of the district issued an order to the head of the trading platform, demanding that the display and offering for sale of these items, as well as any other goods containing informational products recognized as extremist materials, be discontinued. The supervisory act has been fully implemented,” the Prosecutor’s Office stated.

The report does not specify which symbols were involved. It is worth noting that the list of “extremist materials” already includes even the logos of certain brands. For example, the brands Boy London and Supcable have been added to the list.
