Today, a strong wind is expected in the northeast half of Belarus. Meteorologists have issued an orange level of danger.
“Today, 12 December (Friday), between 13:00 and 18:00, many districts in the northeastern half of the country are expected to experience an increase in northwesterly wind, with gusts of 15–20 m/s. The strong, gusty wind will persist until the end of the day,” the warning says.
Today the country will see cloudy weather with clear spells. In most areas, rain is expected, and in the northeastern districts it will mix with wet snow. By evening, icy patches may form on some road sections in the northeast.
Maximum air temperature will range from +3 to +9°C, while in the Vitsyebsk and Mahilyow regions temperatures will fall to 0…–3°C by evening. In Minsk, predominantly cloudy weather is expected. Occasional light rain (80–90% chance of precipitation). Morning temperatures will be +6…+7°C, during the day +6…+8°C, and in the evening +1…+4°C.
