Belarusian propagandists say two of their channels on the YouTube platform have been blocked.
Hosts of the CTV program “To the Point” reported that one of the channels had been blocked. The blocking occurred during a live broadcast. The propagandists linked it to September 17, which is officially marked in Belarus as National Unity Day.
“Right now, in the midst of a discussion of National Unity Day and historical truth, the IT giant has blocked our account. It seems that an honest discussion and expert assessment of the events of 1939 are seriously troubling someone,” СTV said.
The “Radio Culture BY” channel is also unavailable. When an attempt is made to open it, a warning appears saying that the account was blocked for violations of YouTube’s terms of use.
The Culture channel of Belarusian Radio is part of the Belteleradiocompany structure.
СTV television channel has previously reported that its channels were removed from the YouTube platform. The first such incident occurred on April 3, 2026. Along with it, the channels of Belarusian state media BelTA and ONT were removed from the platform. Belarus’ Foreign Ministry threatened a response “by all available means.” On April 8, STV said its new channel had been removed.
