Belarusian OJSC KB Radar is developing a system to detect FPV drones and intercept their video signals. It has been named Shapel-K, the State Military-Industrial Committee reported.

The system consists of:

  • the compact Shapel-O UAV detector;
  • Shapel-P UAV detectors and direction finders (up to 7 units);
  • the Shapel-PU control console.

According to the committee, proprietary signature-analysis algorithms enable the system to recognize signals from drones’ onboard radio transmitters. The system can intercept and display video signals transmitted from a drone. Several detectors and direction finders can be connected to a single control station.

The system can be installed at fixed facilities and used at unequipped positions by dismounted crews and mobile fire teams.
