The combined revenue of residents of the Great Stone industrial park increased in the first quarter, but official statistics also recorded a sharp decline in net profit.
A total of 175 resident companies were registered in Great Stone, 29 more than a year earlier. Of those, 119 companies were operational. Compared with the first quarter of last year, their number increased by 14.
Revenue generated by park residents in the first quarter rose by 38% to 465.7 million Belarusian rubles. At the same time, their combined net profit fell fourfold to 23.4 million rubles.
Investment in fixed capital declined by half to 59.1 million rubles, while foreign investment sources accounted for only 0.4 million rubles of total fixed capital investment.
Industrial output increased by 8.7% to 241.3 million rubles.
Residents paid 74.7 million rubles in taxes and duties to the budget, up 10.9% from a year earlier.
Exports of goods from Great Stone increased by 61.6% to $51.2 million, while imports of goods rose by 10.5% to $99.6 million.
Exports of services from the park grew by 74.3% to $72.2 million. Imports of services increased 1.5 times to $35.6 million.
More than 4,100 people were employed in the park, with the average salary reaching 4,284.5 rubles, up 18.3% year-on-year.
