Rosselkhoznadzor has asked the Belarusian side to change the status of five enterprises in the Register of Enterprises of the Customs Union after violations were detected in their products. One producer has been proposed for a “temporarily restricted” status, while four others are to be placed under enhanced laboratory control. This is stated in a directive issued by the Russian agency on August 11, 2026.
The strictest measures concern Smaliavichy Malako CJSC. Rosselkhoznadzor reported that yeast levels in the company’s cottage cheese were found to be non-compliant during enhanced laboratory control. In this connection, the Russian agency asked the Department of Veterinary and Food Supervision of Belarus’ Ministry of Agriculture and Food to change the enterprise’s status to “temporarily restricted.” Products shipped through and including August 13, 2026, will be accepted under the normal procedure.
Four other Belarusian producers have been proposed for enhanced laboratory control following initial detections of violations.
Bacteria of the Escherichia coli group were detected in powdered dairy products from the Smarhonskiya Molochnyya Produkty branch of Lida Milk Canning Plant OJSC. The same violation was detected in beef produced by Mezhevo START LLC (Production Facility No. 1) and Hlubokaye Meat Processing Plant UPP.
Ketoprofen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, was detected in meat-containing semi-finished products produced at the facility of ELITPARTNER LLC in Navahrudak.
Rosselkhoznadzor instructed its territorial departments to convey the information to regional veterinary authorities, as well as organizations and individuals engaged in foreign economic activity. When collecting samples and subsequently using the products, they were instructed to follow the unified procedure for joint inspections and sampling approved by a decision of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
