Net Profit of Belarusian Enterprises Falls 7.5% in First Quarter

Belstat has published data on the financial performance of organisations for January-March 2026. Enterprises ended the first quarter with a decline in net profit.

Belstat’s operational report does not include banks, non-bank financial institutions, insurance companies, budgetary organisations or organisations without departmental reporting and with fewer than 50 employees.

In January-March, organisations’ revenue increased by 5.5% to nearly 135.17 billion Belarusian roubles. In March alone, revenue amounted to around 50 billion Belarusian roubles, which was 7.5 billion more than in February.

The cost of goods sold increased by 5.3% to 112 billion Belarusian roubles.

Net profit fell by 7.5% to 4.68 billion Belarusian roubles. In March, it amounted to 1.9 billion Belarusian roubles.

Sales profitability stood at 6.1%, or 0.1 percentage points lower than in January-March 2025.

A total of 2,244 organisations were loss-making in January-March, which was 34.8% more than in the same period last year.

Accounts receivable stood at 105.2 billion Belarusian roubles as of 1 April. They increased by 2.1 billion Belarusian roubles in March but decreased by 0.4% since the beginning of the year.

Accounts payable increased by 5.1 billion Belarusian roubles in March to 126.1 billion Belarusian roubles, while since the beginning of the year they have risen by 1.8%.

Debt on loans and borrowings increased by 1.9% since the beginning of the year to 144.84 billion Belarusian roubles.
