Minsk Resident To Stand Trial For Denying Genocide Of Belarusian People

The prosecutor’s office has referred to court a criminal case against a 40-year-old Minsk resident. He is charged with denying the genocide of the Belarusian people (Part 1, Article 130-2 of the Criminal Code).

According to the prosecutor’s office, the case was prompted by comments and posts on Threads. The prosecution alleges that the man denied the genocide of the Belarusian people during World War II, as well as the existence of the Generalplan Ost.

The defendant remains in custody pending trial.
