Alyaksandr Lukashenka during today’s conversation with pro-government commentators offered several pieces of advice to US President Donald Trump. They concerned Iran and Venezuela.
Lukashenka first explained in some detail his position on the US operation against Iran. After that, he suggested that Trump withdraw from the conflict while there is still a certain lull.
“And the question is: what should be done? Trump says: ‘Well, we have already bombed everything there, we have nothing to do there anymore.’ This is already an attempt to get out of this situation.
And Donald Trump is right here. This is the best option. Let them say that they have already bombed everything there. But to leave. Because it will only get worse,” he said.
He added that Trump should also release detained Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro. Lukashenka said Belarus would even be ready to help in this matter.
“Release Maduro or find some diplomatic way out. If necessary, we are ready to help in this regard — they involved us in this,” he said.
It should be recalled that the United States accuses Maduro of drug trafficking. He was detained earlier this year. Maduro is currently in custody in the United States and a court process is being prepared. A preliminary hearing has already taken place. Maduro denies the accusations.
It should also be noted that today Lukashenka announced upcoming negotiations with the United States. According to him, the agenda includes about ten issues, though he named only several areas: political prisoners, economic and bilateral relations, the work of the US embassy and sanctions.
