Alyaksandr Lukashenka, appointing Dzmitry Hora as the new prosecutor general, confirmed that the investigation into the so-called “genocide case,” initiated by Andrei Shved, who has become chairman of the Supreme Court, will be continued. According to Lukashenka, the new prosecutor general must present a bill to those responsible for the genocide.

“But we have already identified so many facts that it is difficult to find anything additional. But in the end we must present them with a bill. Whether they pay or not, they must know that they owe us. And not what we calculate today in dollars, when the dollar is depreciating at a crazy pace. Nobody needs it today anymore… Well, tomorrow it certainly will not be needed. They must understand that they destroyed the republic,” Lukashenka said, according to his press service.

“Therefore, here we need to wrap this up and properly show all these crimes of the Nazis. This is relevant today, very relevant. We guessed right. Against the background of the policy that the West is pursuing. First of all, European states,” he added.

It should be recalled that shortly before his appointment as chairman of the Supreme Court, former prosecutor general Andrei Shved stated that in the coming year 7–10 criminal cases would be sent to court against deceased persons accused of genocide of the Belarusian people during World War II. At the same time, he said that the material damage inflicted on the country during World War II was estimated at 2.3 trillion dollars.
