The House of Representatives has approved the draft law “On the Ratification of the Agreement Between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan on Readmission.”
The agreement was signed in the spring of this year. It defines the procedure for the transfer, acceptance, and return of persons residing in the territories of the two states who violate the rules of entry, exit, stay, or residence of foreign citizens and stateless persons.
Under the agreement, Pakistan undertakes to accept its citizens deported by Belarus, and vice versa. On the Belarusian side, the competent authorities designated for the purposes of the agreement are the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the State Border Committee; on the Pakistani side — the Ministry of the Interior.
