“Belgospishcheprom”: Import-Substituting Potato Chips With Horseradish and Pork Fat Flavor Developed

Belarus has launched the production of potato chips flavored with horseradish and pork fat this year. The Belgospishcheprom concern described them as import-substituting. This was announced at a press conference at the House of Press by Ksenia Hershanchyk, Deputy Head of the Food Production Department of the concern.

“At Mashpisheprod, we have launched the production of import-substituting potato chips. This year, the range has been expanded to include chips flavored with sun-dried tomatoes and pork fat with horseradish,” she said.

The representative of Belgospishcheprom did not specify which exact chips were being referred to. It should be noted that potato snacks have been produced in Belarus for many years.

Hershanchyk also listed many other new products from the concern. In particular, she mentioned mayonnaise with truffle oil.

“And another interesting development is truffle-flavored mayonnaise. The fat content is 50%. There is no similar product on the market of the Republic of Belarus. The recipe was developed jointly with the chef of the fast-food restaurant MAK BY. The product contains truffle paste, so true gourmets may want to look for it and give it a try,” she said.
