Exercises to assess the readiness of state agencies to coordinate and respond to acts of terrorism are beginning today in the Mahiliou Region. The drills will run through June 18. The exercises were announced by Belarus’s KGB.
Units from the Defence Ministry, Interior Ministry, Emergencies Ministry, Investigative Committee and the KGB itself, as well as other state agencies, will take part in the exercise.
Military and other specialised equipment will be deployed during the drills, and enhanced security measures and traffic restrictions may be introduced.
The KGB has asked residents to comply with instructions issued by security personnel.
