The Kenyan Embassy in Russia, which is accredited to Belarus and Kazakhstan, has urged members of the Kenyan diaspora, as well as citizens travelling through or transiting these countries, to register with the embassy or notify it of their presence. The message was published on the embassy’s official channels on September 4.
“The embassy is open and available to the Kenyan diaspora to access consular services when they are in distress or require any other services, clarification or necessary assistance,” the statement said.
The embassy can be contacted via its website, email, social media or by phone:
- +7 (968) 014-84-32
- +7 (968) 014-84-33
Kenyan media linked the publication of the consular notice to attempts to recruit Kenyans into the Russian army to take part in the war against Ukraine.
