Individual entrepreneurs in Belarus will no longer be allowed to engage in publishing activities from January 1, 2026, the Ministry of Information has reported.
Individual entrepreneurs who are currently registered as publishers in the State Register may replace their publisher registration certificates free of charge until December 31 of this year. To do so, they must register a company. This involves a simplified procedure under which an individual entrepreneur is transformed into a legal entity.
Starting next year, printed publications will also be allowed to be sold only at retail.
If an individual entrepreneur is engaged in wholesale sales of printed products and does not use the preferential scheme for registering a legal entity, they will be required to submit a corresponding notification to the Ministry of Information regarding changes to the State Register.
