On January 28, an in absentia trial will begin at the Minsk City Court in the case of five fighters of the Kalinoŭski Regiment — Alyaksei Kavalchuk, Alyaksei Nazarau, Dzianis Procharau, Pavel Shurmey, and United Transitional Cabinet defense representative Vadzim Kabanchuk.
They are charged under articles related to the creation of a criminal organization, an act of terrorism, aiding terrorist activity, creation and leadership of a terrorist organization, participation in a terrorist organization, intentional damage to transport routes, treason, calls for measures harming national security, creation of an extremist formation, participation in an armed formation on the territory of a foreign state, and aiding extremist activity.
Special proceedings against the Kalinoŭski Regiment fighters were launched in October 2025.
