The European Union has expanded sanctions against the Belarusian regime “in view of the situation in Belarus and its involvement in Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.” The document was published in the Official Journal of the European Union.

In addition, the EU’s new 19th sanctions package against Russia for its aggression against Ukraine includes three Belarusian banks: Alfa-Bank, VTB Bank, and Sber Bank. The restrictions against them will take effect on December 2.
