An assistant drill rig operator was killed in a quarry of the Granit state enterprise in Mikashavichy.
The tragedy occurred on the evening of March 13. According to the victim’s colleague, he was responsible for monitoring a cable behind the machinery. When the rig stopped, the 41-year-old worker was found unconscious with a severe injury. Medics confirmed his death, the publication “Luninetskija Naviny” reported, citing the Investigative Committee.
A criminal case has been opened under an article on causing death by negligence.
