Antimonopoly Authority Orders Shops to Expand Rapeseed Oil Assortment

The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART) has amended the lists of goods subject to mandatory availability in retail outlets. MART Resolution No. 17 of March 6 was published today on the National Legal Internet Portal and will enter into force two months after publication.

The main changes concern the presence of rapeseed oil in assortment lists. Currently, non-specialized food stores with a universal range, depending on their size, are required to carry one to two types of this oil. Under the new resolution, the assortment must include between one and five types.

Specialized food stores, under the new resolution, will be required to have one to two types of rapeseed oil in their assortment. At present, there is no such requirement for them. The assortment must include several types of vegetable oil.

The resolution also introduces changes related to chocolate and grape wine.
