Graham Promises to Pray for Lukashenka

American preacher Franklin Graham, head of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, has promised to pray for Alyaksandr Lukashenka.

According to Lukashenka’s press service, during a meeting with him, Graham said it was customary to pray for national leaders. He therefore promised to pray for Lukashenka.

“Therefore, tomorrow I will ask everyone present to stand and offer a prayer for you as a leader,” he said.

Graham arrived in Belarus for a large Protestant festival. It should be noted that he previously delivered a prayer at the inauguration of US President Donald Trump.

The preacher also said during the meeting that he had come to Minsk with a message.

“Thank you very much. It is a great honor for me to meet with you today. We came to deliver our message to all Belarusians, and this message is from the Lord God. It does not matter which faith we belong to — Protestant, Orthodox or Catholic — we are all equal here. And we all agree with these principles,” he said.

During today’s meeting, Lukashenka also asked Graham to convey his warmest wishes to Trump.
