Forecasters have extended the orange weather warning through May 9. Heavy rain and strong winds are expected.
“On May 9 (Saturday), heavy rain is expected overnight in many parts of the country, and during the day across most of Vitsyebsk Region. In many northern areas of the country, wind gusts of 15-20 meters per second are expected. In Minsk, heavy rain is expected overnight on May 9 (Saturday),” the warning said.
Weather conditions in Belarus tomorrow will continue to be shaped by slow-moving atmospheric fronts and a cool air mass. Cloudy weather will persist. Thunderstorms are possible in some areas. Overnight temperatures are expected to range from +2°C to +8°C, reaching up to +12°C in the southeast. Daytime highs will range from +6°C in the north to +18°C in the southeast.
