Journalists from Nasha Niva spoke by phone with the father of Anzhalika Melnikava, who said that she is “alive and well” and currently in Belarus.
“I know that she is in Belarus. Since when? Well, for quite a while. She has not disappeared. As far as I know, she is alive and well. And the children are probably with her. Although I have not seen my grandchildren or her in person for a long time,” said her father, Artur Mikalaevich, in a phone conversation.
According to him, Melnikava calls him from a hidden number. Their last conversation took place “in winter.”
“She told me: ‘Do not call me, I will call you myself.’ And sometimes she does. But the number is always hidden, it does not show,” he said.
Journalists also called a number registered to Melnikava’s former husband, Andrei. A woman answered the phone and said she would call him, but the connection was then cut off. Further calls to the number went unanswered.
They were unable to reach Melnikava’s mother.
The day before, blogger BalaganOFF published screenshots of Instagram stories from a Minsk fitness club chain GYM24 showing a woman who closely resembles Melnikava.

Anzhalika Melnikava, former speaker of the Coordination Council, disappeared on February 26, 2025. Officially, she flew to London, but in reality her route went through Sri Lanka to Dubai, where her trail was lost.
Later, documents from the Coordination Council were downloaded from her account, and about $150,000 disappeared from the account of the Polish foundation Belarus Liberty Foundation, which she managed on behalf of the Cyber Partisans.
Investigators have also reported possible links between Melnikava and Belarusian KGB officer Aliaksei Labeyeu. In 2022, she allegedly failed a polygraph test conducted by the BYPOL initiative, but passed a second one and was accepted.
A reward of €10,000 has been announced for information about her whereabouts.
The Polish prosecutor’s office considers Melnikava a victim and is investigating the circumstances of her departure from Poland. According to Pavel Latushka, her children are currently in Belarus, although she herself is not with them.
