Electric Scooter With Passenger Flies Under Car in Minsk

An electric scooter rider carrying a passenger ran a red light and was hit by a car in Minsk, the Minsk city traffic police reported. The incident occurred this afternoon on Dolhinau Trakt.

The 56-year-old scooter driver was crossing the roadway at a signal-controlled pedestrian crossing on a red light. He was struck by a Renault passenger car. A 50-year-old woman was also riding on the scooter as a passenger. She was hospitalized for examination.

Traffic police officers from Minsk’s Central District Police Department worked at the scene.
