The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) is financing the construction of an oilseed processing plant in Belarus, EDB Chairman of the Management Board Nikolai Podguzov said.
“In Belarus, the bank’s projects are helping to create new high-value-added industries and strengthen food security. With EDB support, a new high-tech export-oriented oilseed processing plant is currently under construction. Once the project is completed, the plant’s total processing capacity will exceed 1.5 million tonnes per year. It will be one of the largest plants in the entire Eurasian region,” he said.
Total EDB financing provided to Belarus has now reached $3.3 billion.
