Customs officers at the Kazlovichy checkpoint on the Polish-Belarusian border stopped an illegal import of auto parts.

A truck operated by a Polish carrier was traveling from France. The vehicle was carrying auto parts, but the accompanying documents listed only some of them.

Customs officers found more than 2,000 units of “extra” auto parts worth more than 200,000 rubles. The carrier was thus seeking to save more than 50,000 rubles in customs payments, the State Customs Committee reports.

Administrative proceedings have been initiated. The carrier faces a fine of up to 30% of the value of the undeclared goods.
