Preparations have begun in Belarus for the CSTO exercises “Unbreakable Brotherhood 2026” and “Barrier 2026”. The first exercise will involve peacekeeping forces, while the second will be conducted with the joint CBRN protection and medical support formation.
Planning talks on the exercises were held in Minsk with the participation of representatives from Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, as well as the CSTO Joint Staff and Secretariat.
“During the talks, the exercise scenarios, the composition of command structures and national contingents, the procedures for practical activities, and issues related to comprehensive support were reviewed and agreed upon. Reconnaissance visits were conducted to the exercise areas at the Losvido and Staradarozhski training grounds,” the Belarusian Defense Ministry’s press service said.
