Turchyn Visits Waste Processing Facilities in Kyrgyzstan

On June 4, Belarusian Prime Minister Aliaksandr Turchyn began an official visit to Kyrgyzstan.

On the first day of the visit, he started with a tour of a waste-sorting facility. The site uses equipment produced by the Belarusian company Sifania-Ekotekhnika, a manufacturer of integrated waste-sorting and advanced recycling systems.

In 2022, Sifania-Ekotekhnika signed a $1.35 million contract with the municipal enterprise Karakol Improvement and Sanitation Combine. A sorting and reception complex with an annual capacity of 20,000 tonnes of municipal solid waste was launched in Karakol. Seven production lines manufacturing industrial goods from recycled waste have also been put into operation, the Belarusian government’s press service reported.

In 2025, the Belarusian company won a tender to supply equipment for a waste-sorting station in Bishkek with an annual sorting capacity of 100,000 tonnes of municipal solid waste, as well as a production line for polymer-sand products. The waste-sorting facility was commissioned in December 2025.

The Belarusian delegation also visited an eco-technological plant in Bishkek that generates electricity through the processing of municipal solid waste. The project was implemented with Chinese investment. Preliminary estimates put the total investment at $95 million.
